Silent and effective.

I have this filter on a little 10 gallon containing one beautiful purple and red Betta, 3 Speckled Cory Cats, and 2 Ottos. The water is crystal clear and clean. This filter works beautifully.
There IS one caveat---if you don't have the intake positioned correctly on the propeller, it will be noisy and doesn't operate efficiently. If this filter is making any noise at all, check that the tube is seated well.

Not a whisper

Breed:Betta and Cardinal Tetras.
I bought this filter and thought it would work great in my fish tank. Well, I think it worked very well, but the whisper did not work. The Impeller was so noisy that I had to close my bedroom door at night so that I could sleep. I know that all of the filters will produce noise, but this product promised to whisper.
After a few days, I went to PETCO and bought a Whisper immersible pump and trashed the EX 20.
