Although I do not see any ingredients in this product that would help eliminate tartar and the shape, size and texture is not much different then some hard foods on the market, it is given as only a treat after we have given meds and is recognized as a reward.

My sweetie cat is addicted to these.
And they are very crunchy. Looks like
the ingredients are pretty decent. Spelt
is the 1st ingredient on the list, which is
a type of wheat. Not sure I like that part,
but my cat isn't complaining! Don't know
yet how well it controls tartar. The next vet
visit will tell. I would definitely buy these
again.

After paying over $400 to have my cat's teeth cleaned I now buy only tartar control treats for him to chew. He likes these and that makes me happy.
