I have a Standard Poodle which developed regular ear infections even with a strict regimen of removing deep ear hair and cleansing. I made every attempt to keep water out of the ears, etc.
After many infections and relocating, we changed veterinarians, Dr. Madge Smith recommended this wash to help clear an infection, and then weekly forever as a prophylactic. That was 2 years ago, and I am only now dealing with the first infection, because I became lax and did not keep the routine (ran out).
If your dog has chronic problems, I recommend you try this once and you will not go back to anything else. I like that it uses mild detergents and enzymes, so you are not developing resistance to antibiotics. Our other vet had me use 3way antibiotic/antifungal/steroid ointment in the ear once weekly as a preventive. I do NOT recommend that at all.

Have a black lab who has had constant ear problems (10+ years). We've been on all the different regiments. One of our vet techs suggested we try this in between bouts of oral antibotics & antifunals etc... So far so good - been a year (4 seasons) with no flare up so far.
