My Vet originally recommended this product to me years ago. I was using a well known "other brand" of flea and tick medication and they were picking up ticks anyway. I started using Ovitrol X-Tend and have never had a problem with ticks since. The price is also very reasonable. We live in a rural area with a lot of deer/wildlife and our animals all go outside.

Bottom line, it worked, when nothing else did.

Good part, Vetkem has finally ended the worst flea season ever here in my house and yard. We have just one small dog and one cat. But, we were infested. I could comb either the dog or cat and collect a dozen fleas in just a couple minutes. It was awful. But, we did a blitz, sprayed the yard, bombed the house, sprayed other hot spots around the house, and then bathed the animals. The last bit was to put the Ovitrol on the dog. It's oily, messy, and does not seem to dry out at all. She got it all over the furniture. BUT...it worked. I think it drowns the fleas in oil, but I've tried Comfortis, and several pill type flea controls, Advantage and Frontline, and flea collars. Nothing, I mean nothing worked, not even a little bit, until I used the Vetkem products. The final push to flea eradication was this oily stuff down her spine. Within a day or so, ALL fleas gone. I waited about a week and then bathed her. Now she and the cat are flea-free, and so is the house and yard. Whew!
