Promotes healthy weight

I purchased a tank topper for my daughter's first gerbil. At the time he was so chubby you couldn't tell where his head ended and his body began. After just a few weeks, he was much trimmer.
There are a few drawbacks to this product. You need to make sure the cage is no where near any kind of cloth (ie: curtains) because they can pull it in and chew on it. Also, having an open area provides pets with the option of throwing things out of the cage (unwanted food, litter...). My biggest complaint is that all of the interior components are made of plastic and you can not find replacement parts. I have had to replace both ramps and one shelf/ platform with wire ones that I made. These items should be much more chew proof!
