Got these after experiencing a bad service at a pet-store. Until now I have not clipped any nails from a dog so I was a bit hesitant that I would clip too much but with these I felt comfortable. I can now clip my siberian husky's nails while she's napping and do them every so often. She's more relaxed and is getting better at sitting still.

I have a pair of these that I have had for 10+ years.
They still cut quick & smooth, no snags, easy to view while clipping and protective back stop if you need it. I was a dog groomer for 5 years in my late teens, early 20's and I have gotten used to professional instruments. Nothing at pet smart would satisfy me so I went looking for these! So glad I did, a great, long lasting, quality product! I'm sold!!!

I have never clipped a dogs nails in my life,and so I was a little nervous,that's why I chose these clippers with the guide.
It gave me an idea of where to cut ,but I still cut one nail a little short because the dog yelped.
I put flour on it and a little pressure and it stopped instantly though. I just need a little more experience,I believe,but the clippers are very good at clipping .
