It was not as soft as I would like it to be, but the Dogs still loved it though. Great for aggressive chewers.

I wasn't expecting this toy to last forever, but when used with a groupon I purchased, I got a great deal. I have a 7-month old German Shepherd puppy and it didn't take long for him to chew the duck's beak off. We only allow him to play with toys under supervision, so it wasn't a big deal, but once the beak was chewed off we had to take it away because all the insides were accessible. While he had it he loved shaking it all around and running all over with it! Lots of cute fun while it lasted!
