I started my cat on cosequin many years ago @ 2 caps per day and slowly increased her dose as her needs required. The only negative I have to say is that many times capsules would be completely empty. Bummer there. But overall a good product without side effects. Sadly @ 18 1/2yrs I had to let her go on 2 may 2013, really heartbreaking loss of my best friend.

Coseqin for cystitis

My spayed female cat has idiopathic urinary cystitis, and after trying amitriptyline which made her dull, I switched to three Cosequin capsules a day, then settled at two a day. Cosequin works wonders for her bladder !! and she has not had a flare up in over a year. With the added benefit of joint health as well. Yes, I would definitely recommend checking with the vet then trying Cosequin for Cats for cats with cystitis.

Easy to take apart and sprinkle on our kitty's small amount of wet food. Our 12 year old has really been helped with this product. Her limping and arthritic front shoulder benefits from her receiving this medication 1-2 times a day. She is more comfortable and that's worth every effort to make her pain/limp free!

My cat knee pops and I took him to the vet. The vet said as long as my cat doesn't look like it's not in pain try these meds. The popping went away for now.

Great product, great price

I started my two cats, one 6 and one 12+ years old on this product. The older cat is now definitely more mobile. I take supplements for joint issues, I know they are helpful with similar problems in cats and dogs. This is the best price for the quantity out there.

A must have for active cats

I have a very active orange kitty and, at only 5 years old, he was occasionally reluctant to climb his tower. After the cosequin, he's at the top of his tower every day. I simply add the pill contents to a small amount of his crunchy food and he loves it. I will always have this for my athletic boy!

This product is fantastic for all cats. We have a 14 year old male cat and when he was 4 years old he got a urinary blockage (common in male cats). After vet. care our doctor recommended Cosequin because she had read it helps not only their agility but in avoiding another blockage. We started him on 1 capsule daily with his breakfast and he hasn't had a problem since! He also has no joint problems and is in excellent health. We also give a capsule to our 9 year old cat and he thinks he's still a kitten!

Cats love the taste

Both of our cats love the taste of the Cosequin DS. When it is mixed in their food, all the food is eaten and the dishes are licked clean. One cat has joint problems and there has been some improvement since she started taking Cosequin DS a few months ago. She is now able to play like a much younger cat again.
