Never even got to use it!

I had the same exact problem as the first review I read. I bought it, and took the blade off and could NOT get it back on. Super frustrating, I never even got to use it! I have had many clippers before and never had a problem.

Poor Design

This clipper is very poorly designed. The blade attachement is not held on with screws; it has a clip on design. Once I was able to remove the comb and blade assembly, using a flathead screwdriver to pry it apart, no one has been able to reattach it. According to the instructions, Conair says "To replace the blade set: Turn clipper motor on and replace the existing or new blade by sliding in onto the metal tongue." I do not think it would be safe to replace the blade set while the clippers are running!

good useful product

I am new to this, so hated it the first time I used it. However, the second time I used this clipper, it was much easier. The head of the clipper gets hot, but that doesn't seem to effect its performance. The first time I used it the guards kept getting stuck in my dog's fur. So I used it mostly without a guard this time (just human comb to guide me by), and it cut the hair like a hot knife through butter. I went all over the dog with a guard afterwards and it stuck a bit, but it was where there were matts. I guess that was the problem the first time and I didn't know. So for a first timer, I'm quite pleased. I'll be saving money by my fourth trim too.
