I didn't think my year-old cat Captain would play with this, but I hung it on the door knob anyway. Now, when he is full of energy, he will grab the toy and slingshot it against the door. If I notice the door has been opened or closed a couple of feet, I know Captain has been playing with the SpringString. It has been a very successful diversion for him.

My cats go nuts with this item. They take turns going after the toy on the stretch cord. The toy is pretty beat up and the feathers have been ripped off.

Great gift for a friend with multiple cats

This became a great gift for a friend with multiple cats. The original recipient cat wanted to chew off the elastic suspension cord holding the bird at the end. It was not suitable for that cat, but the subsequent final recipients are playing with it as intended! I like the fact that this toy can be hung from a doorknob to permit the cat to enjoy at it's own pace.
