The Bottoms Up Leash works about as well as I expected, pretty good for it's simplicity. I got it because my Lab had his first of two knee surgeries. It's important to pay attention and be sure the leg loops are kept up high and snug, which requires a constant vertical pull. It can be quite the work out for you in a short time if you've got a big dog! In many ways it beats using a bed sheet under the belly, in some ways it doesn't. Overall this is a decent and useful product.

I was glad I found on the Internet a Bottoms Up Leash for my 13 years old large male Bernese Mountain/Alsatian mix dog Nero, as I couldn't buy one anywhere here at home in the United Kingdom. It was a bit expensive because of having had to order it from the USA. Unfortunately my dog refuses to walk with the Bottoms Up Leash on to help his hind legs, but I use it to give him support while he eats as sometimes he finds it even then difficult to keep his hind legs standing and half way collapses as for arthritis and two damaged discs down the lower end of his spine. This proved to be a wonderful product that helped prolong my dog's ability to continue his walks with a fuller range of motion in a manner that was nonobtrusive and natural. I even had to remind him to slow down. I'm convinced it kept him with me for a much longer time than I would have had otherwise and increased his quality of life.
