Calming Jethro

I have only used the Adaptil a couple of times since I received it. Jethro was looking at the birds in the yard and barking non stop. I finally sprayed a little in his area and he calmed down immediately. I was impressed.

It worked for my dog perfectly.

Ok, you need to understand your dog's fear to know if this is going to work. I do not think it would help with barking. I think it would work best with specific PTSD related issues. Not sure if it would work perfectly for fireworks but would really help, same for the vet or dentist and groomer if your dog hates that, it will take the edge off, but they are still going to be upset.
My dog had experienced a hydroplaning car accident with me in the rain. She developed a fear of driving in the car in the rain (which she has now grown out of this second winter and no longer needs this product). She would pant from fear from driving in the rain, no matter who was driving the car, if I was with her or not. She was never panting from being hot, always in cold conditions and she would stop panting when the car was parked in the rain and she would never pant if there was no rain. I think the windshield wipers might of been the trigger. Anyways, this product really helped her when applied ahead of time to her car bed before the drive. I also sprayed it on her coat. If your dog doesn't wear clothes I recommend tying a bandanna around their neck with this spayed on it. Usually she "napped" quietly without panting more than an occasional time when we had to drive her in the rain. Thankfully our really dry summers helped her forget and the following winter she is 100% cured :) Oh and I tried a "thunder vest" before this, and it did not work. This product does what it says.

Calms my hounds

When the family leaves the house for outings other than normal scheduled routines, we use this spray. We spray it around the outside of the dogs area and on some of their bedding. This products works for my dogs as we don't hear them barking or howling when we leave. One of my dogs has anxiety attacks and will lick his fur until it's wet, raise his respiratory rate, and make his eyes get red. This product works great for him as it keeps him calm. We recommend this product.

Gave it a Try

Your D.A.P. was recommended to us by the trainer we are now using for our 2 1/2 year old miniature Schnauzer/Chihuahua mix. We were using it in an effort to calm barking when she sees anyone passing by our home or approaching the front door.
We followed the directions, spraying the fabric on her everyday collar, as well as on her training collar and a kerchief she occasionally wears. Then we'd await 15-20 minutes before placing the sprayed item on her, as directed.
We've made several attempts using all three items, but there was no noticeable difference in her demeanor or behavior. The barking only occurs under the cases mentioned above, so it would have been easy to determine if the D.A.P. was having any effect. Unfortunately, it has not.
